Qatar signs Double Tax Treaty with Bangladesh
On 23 April 2024, Qatar has signed a Double Tax Treaty (DTT) with Bangladesh. We will report on further developments as they occur.
Double Tax Treaty between Qatar and Uzbekistan enters into force
On 12 February 2024, the DTT between Qatar and Uzbekistan entered into force, and the treaty generally applies from 1 January 2025 for withholding taxes, among others. We will soon report on the details of the DTT.
Cambodia announces ongoing negotiation for a Double Tax Treaty with the UAE
According to a press release of 10 April 2024, the Cambodian tax authorities announced ongoing negotiations for a DTT with several countries, including the UAE. We will report on further developments as they occur.
Iraq’s Council of Ministers authorizes Double Tax Treaty negotiations with Bahrain
On 2 April 2024, the Iraqi Council of Ministers provided authorization to the Director-General of the General Commission for Taxes of the Ministry of Finance to negotiate a DTT with Bahrain. Further developments will be reported as and when they occur.

The GCC Member States continue expanding and updating their Double Tax Treaty networks for the benefit of international businesses
