Wissam is a dispute resolution lawyer with extensive experience representing clients across a broad range of sectors in high value multi-jurisdictional disputes. He advises international, regional and local companies on a wide variety of disputes, with a particular emphasis on commercial, banking and finance and shareholders' disputes, including before the on-shore courts, arbitral tribunals and off-shore courts.

Wissam regularly works with his clients to provide strategic advice in order to avoid potential litigation and has succeeded in securing multiple settlement agreements. In addition, he has advised major conglomerates on financial fraud and investigations in the GCC and the wider Middle East, including Turkey, Lebanon, Iraq, Armenia and Jordan.

  • Representing a prominent regional conglomerate in a US$300 million construction arbitration regarding construction of a major shopping mall
  • Advising on a US$260 million dollar multi-jurisdictional litigation in relation to oil rigs in the UAE
  • Representing a U.S. Fortune 50 company in a US$225 million satellite technology arbitration
  • Advising a major global bank on its disputes, including a US$220 million dispute in the GCC
  • Representing an international office services company in a US$135 million financial investigation of a regional real estate company
  • Advising a major food and beverage company on a US$125 million shareholders' dispute in the on-shore and off-shore courts in the GCC
  • Advising a prominent Indian telecommunications company in a US$85 million telecommunications dispute
  • Advising an NYSE-listed international company in a US$72 million shareholders' dispute in the GCC
  • Representing a Dubai Government-owned company in a US$60 million dollar construction/real estate arbitration
  • Representing an international litigation funder in the enforcement of arbitral awards in the UK, France and the UAE for c. US$55 million against a major UAE real estate developer
