Marcos is a lawyer in the Corporate and M&A department at DLA Piper's Madrid office. He holds a Law degree from the University of Zaragoza and a dual Master's in Legal Practice and Entrepreneurship with New Technologies in IE Law School.
He advises national and international clients—including industrial investors, venture capital firms, and corporate groups—across a wide range of sectors, with a particular focus on energy, infrastructure, and emerging technologies (i.e, Data Centers). His practice includes advising on complex corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings.
Marcos has notable experience in the development and legal structuring of offshore wind energy projects, including regulatory analysis, project financing, and contractual negotiation. He is also specialized in drafting and negotiating Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Engineering Procurement and Construction contracts (EPCs), Operations and Maintenance agreements (O&M) and various project agreements.
His work is characterized by a strong commercial awareness, a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal solutions tailored to each client's needs.
