Joel Robertson-Taylor practises restructuring and insolvency law with a focus on insolvency proceedings related to local and cross-border restructurings, bankruptcies, receiverships, and debt recovery under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act. Joel frequently appears in front of the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Court of Appeal.

In 2022, Joel was awarded the Fellowship at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE) legal ethics fellowship and continues to be involved with the organization. Joel joined the firm as a summer student in 2023 and began his articles in 2024.
