Maria Beatrice Deli

Secretary General, AIA

Maria Beatrice Deli is Professor of International Law currently serving at the Universitas Mercatorum in Rome. She has more than thirty years of experience on international commercial law and international litigation. She has served as chairman, sole arbitrator, and co-arbitrator in a number of international arbitrations, under the rules of different arbitral institutions. She is included in the panel of CAS arbitrators.

Maria Beatrice is Secretary General of the Italian Association for Arbitration (AIA-Associazione Italiana per l’Arbitrato), overseeing the promotion of arbitration in Italy.

She is the author of numerous publications on international commercial law and arbitration matters and recently she co-authored a handbook on international arbitration.

Special Counsel, Withers

Camilla is a Special Counsel at Withers. She is dual qualified in Italy and England and Wales and specialises in public international law and international arbitration (commercial and investment treaty). She advises States, State-owned entities and companies in arbitration disputes in the aviation, construction, gambling, infrastructure, metal, mining, oil & gas, and railway industries in different regions of the world, particularly Africa, CIS countries, MENA and Latin America under the auspices of the CAM, CIAC, ICC, ICSID, LCIA and UNCITRAL rules. She is consistently ranked in Chambers, Legal 500 and Lexology for her work in these fields.

Niccolò Landi

Member of Arbitration Chambers

Niccolò Landi has served as arbitrator and counsel in international arbitrations under the rules of the ICC, VIAC, CAM and UNCITRAL. He has also acted as administrative secretary to tribunals, both ad hoc and those constituted under institutional rules, among others, those of the ICC, LCIA, ICSID, PCA, SIAC and AFSA. He graduated in law from Siena University and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from University College Dublin. Niccolò is a Member of Arbitration Chambers and the Milan Bar. He is admitted to practice before the Italian Supreme Court. He lectures on arbitration-related topics at the University of Turin and at the International Training Centre of the International Labor Organization in Turin, Italy.

Carmen Martinez Lopez

Partner, Three Crowns LLP

Carmen, a partner in the Madrid office, has appeared as advocate in numerous investment treaty and commercial arbitrations. She has handled arbitrations under the rules of the major arbitral institutions and ad hoc across a variety of jurisdictions, with a particular focus on Latin America and Spain. Carmen also sits as arbitrator.

Carmen is dual-qualified in civil law and common law, and regularly handles contentious work in English, Spanish, and French. She is admitted to the New York and Madrid Bars, and is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales. Carmen holds law degrees from Columbia Law School, the College of Europe and the University of Murcia (Premio Nacional Fin de Carrera and Premio Extraordinario Fin de Carrera).

Partner, Litigation, Co-Chair, International Disputes, Pierson Ferdinand

Tiffany represents companies around the world as an advocate in international arbitration and litigation and also serves as an arbitrator with the ICC, AAA, DRC, and other arbitral institutions. Her experience encompasses a range of disputes, particularly in the international agriculture, food & beverage, and energy/oil & gas sectors.

Flavio Ponzano

Flavio Ponzano

Partner, ArbLit

Flavio is partner at ArbLit, specializing in international commercial and investor-State arbitration. He has acted as counsel, arbitrator, secretary or assistant to arbitral tribunals in more than 40 arbitrations conducted under various rules and applicable laws. His experience includes high-profile cases in the energy sector involving states and state-owned entities. Flavio’s areas of expertise include conflict of laws and EU law. He holds a Ph.D. in international law from the Catholic University of Milan and is a member of the IBA Task Force on Res judicata in International Arbitration.

Carlo de Stefano

Associate Professor of International Law, Department of Law, Roma Tre University

Carlo de Stefano (Ph.D., Bocconi University) is Associate Professor of International law at the Department of Law of Roma Tre University. He has been visiting scholar at numerous research institutions including the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law of the University of Cambridge (Brandon Research Fellowship 2023) and the Edinburgh School of Law (MacCormick Fellowship 2025). In 2024, Carlo received the Karl-Heinz Böckstiegel Stiftung scholarship upon indication by the Young International Council Commercial Arbitration (ICCA). His book “Attribution in International Law and Arbitration” was published by Oxford University Press in 2020. Carlo is involved in the international arbitration practice, as counsel as well as administrative secretary of arbitral tribunals, and is legal consultant for States, international organizations, private companies and NGOs.
