DLA Piper announces new Capital Markets and Public Company Advisory practice leadership

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that its Capital Markets and Public Company Advisory practice will be led by DLA Piper partners Era Anagnosti (Washington, DC) and Christopher Paci (New York).

Anagnosti brings a combination of distinguished government experience and private practice, including more than 10 years at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in various roles in the Division of Corporation Finance. She also has extensive experience advising public companies in connection with their SEC reporting obligations and corporate governance matters involving a large variety of disclosure and compliance questions under the US federal securities laws, while also guiding companies through complex capital markets transactions ranging from public offerings, secondary registered offerings, to merger transactions and tender offers.

Paci, who has led the Capital Markets group since 2013, has 30 years of experience representing investment banks and US and foreign issuers across a variety of industries and global jurisdictions in a broad range of capital markets transactions. He also advises on complex liability management transactions such as exchange offers, tender offers and consent solicitations, for corporate and sovereign issuers.

“Era and Chris are well-known in the industry for their extensive experience and knowledge in capital markets and advising public companies, and we couldn’t have imagined a better duo to take the helm.   Our team is focused on helping our issuer and underwriter clients navigate the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape that is impacting their businesses and transactions,” said Andrew Gilbert, US chair of the firm’s Corporate practice.

With more than 1,000 corporate lawyers globally, DLA Piper helps clients execute complex transactions seamlessly while supporting clients across all stages of development. The firm has been rated number one in global M&A volume for 13 consecutive years, according to Mergermarket.

DLA Piper’s global capital markets team represents issuers and underwriters in registered and unregistered equity, equity-linked and debt capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on equity offerings, equity-linked securities offerings, and offerings of investments grade and high-yield debt securities.
