Justin Mooney appointed King's Counsel in Ontario

Congratulations to Justin Mooney who received the important designation of King’s Counsel (K.C.) in Ontario in 2023. The K.C. designation is conferred on members of the legal profession to recognize their commitment to the pursuit of legal excellence in service to, the public and their communities. Ontario had not designated anyone as King’s Counsel (formerly Queen’s Counsel) since 1985.

Justin practises in the areas of corporate/commercial and real estate law, with a focus on the acquisition and management of complex real estate sites and portfolios. Having worked with numerous clients around the world, and qualified to practise law in Ontario, England and Wales, Justin is a trusted advisor who tailors solutions to his clients needs through workable solutions and general risk mitigation counsel. For his impact and achievements in his practice he was named a Lexpert® Rising Star: Leading Lawyer Under 40 and has been recognized by The Legal 500 and Best Lawyers in Canada. Currently, Justin is an active member of the firm’s Equity and Diversity Committee. 

Outside of the firm, Justin is the Chair of the Board of Directors of The Metro Toronto Convention Centre, recently completed a term as Chair of the Toronto Grant Review Team of the Ontario Trillium Foundation and was a founding Director of both East Coast Connected and the Richmond Hill Philharmonic Orchestra.
