DLA Piper Canada named Canada Social Impact Pro Bono Firm of the Year by LMG
DLA Piper Canada was named Canada Social Impact Pro Bono Firm of the Year at the 2024 LMG DEI Americas Awards.
In its inaugural year, the LMG DEI awards highlight the firms and individuals changing the culture of the legal market across the Americas. DLA Piper Canada was recognized for its commitment to social change and workplace improvement, in particular for our stand-out work with the Afghanistan Women Judges Resettlement Project and the Tamil Community Centre and the ongoing success of The Clinic, our pro bono business law clinic dedicated to providing Black and Indigenous businesses with corporate and commercial legal advice.
DLA Piper has a long-standing and deep commitment to giving back to our communities. This commitment exists at every level in every office within the firm and is ingrained in the firm’s culture. We believe that we have a special responsibility to the communities where we live and work and recognize that by fostering our pro bono initiatives, we can have a positive and lasting impact in our communities.
“We are proud to be recognized by LMG for our dedication and commitment to social change,“ said Robert Seidel, K.C., Canada Managing Partner. “Our Canadian lawyers are deeply involved with our global pro bono mission of pursuing justice around the world and have been at the forefront of building meaningful, impactful and lasting projects that truly make a difference to our communities.”
