Rodrigo is an Associate in the Real Estate team at DLA Piper Spain. Since joining the firm, he has taken a prominent role in negotiating and drafting agreements for the acquisition and disposal of real estate assets and companies with a real estate component, as well as in the creation and structuring of joint ventures and other vehicles for investment in a wide range of real estate assets.

He has extensive experience in providing legal advice to institutional investors, investment funds, and developers in the acquisition, management, and disposal of a wide variety of properties, such as hotels, residential projects, shopping centers, offices, and logistics centers.

In addition, Rodrigo provides ongoing advice on real estate financing transactions and has been involved in numerous transactions in the energy sector, assisting institutional investors in the acquisition of renewable energy projects in Spain, as well as in data center development projects.

  • Echelon on the creation, together with Iberdrola, of a joint venture for the development of a data center platform in Spain.
  • Besant Capital and Blasson on the purchase of the Zurich Seguros building at Calle Alcalá 44 in Madrid for EUR100m, for its subsequent conversion into a luxury hotel.
  • Realty Income on the acquisition from Decathlon of thirty stores in Spain, worth more than EUR200m.
  • Aquila Capital on the acquisition from Kave Home of a plot of land and a logistics asset located in Tordera (Barcelona), worth more than EUR100m.
  • GMP on the various phases of the acquisition of a building at Calle Titán 8 in Méndez Álvaro (Madrid), worth EUR44m.
  • Generali on the acquisition from Medcap Real Estate of an office building at 40 Portal del Ángel Street in Barcelona.
