Jennifer is a member of DLA Piper’s Infrastructure group and has extensive experience in federal government advisory and major project delivery.

Jennifer previously worked as Legal Counsel at the Department of Justice in commercial law, where she advised regional development agencies on contribution agreements and transfer payment frameworks. 

Before joining the Department of Justice, she contributed to major federal initiatives at Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada, including the Quebec Bridge acquisition and the High Frequency (now High Speed) Rail project, earning multiple recognition awards for innovation and significant contribution. Jennifer has worked closely with various federal ministries and Crown corporations throughout her career, as well as with key stakeholders in the private sector. Combined with her previous experience at Employment and Social Development Canada and the Department of National Defence, she has a strong and comprehensive understanding of the federal government system.

Jennifer obtained a Joint Honours Bachelor in Public Administration and Political Science, a Licentiate of Law, and a Juris Doctor all from the University of Ottawa. Jennifer strengthened her studies by her involvement in Queen’s University’s and University of Ottawa Joint International Economic Law Clinic and by international legal internships with both large commercial law firms and boutiques in Europe across various practice areas. She also completed her articling in a mid-sized firm in commercial law in Montreal.

Jennifer is actively engaged in the legal community, having volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, the International Law Students Association, and the Law Society of Ontario’s mock trial program.
