DLA Piper advises VEHIS on raising PLN 1.3 billion in debt financing – the first warehouse facility transaction in Poland
DLA Piper advised VEHIS on closing a PLN 1.3 billion (EUR 275 million) debt financing. Two leading international financial institutions, Santander Corporate & Investment Banking and Goldman Sachs Asset Management Private Credit, have provided the funds for the VEHIS's further growth.
The transaction was led by Paweł Turek, with the support of Ewelina Paciorek, Magdalena Gajur and Jakub Wiatrzyk from DLA Piper Poland. This is a first-of-its-kind warehouse facility transaction in Poland which is dedicated to new companies which will use the funds for building up a receivables’ portfolio. This also demonstrates the exceptional capabilities of DLA Piper’s securitisation practice - the law firm has advised on first STR and STS securitisation transactions on the Polish market.
VEHIS is an Enterprise Investors portfolio company that operates as an online sales platform offering cars together with leasing. VEHIS introduced an innovative business model to the Polish market, offering its customers – private individuals and entrepreneurs – domestically available cars along with lease financing, insurance products and service support.
