DLA Piper advises Aonic on the acquisition of the AddApptr Group

DLA Piper has advised the gaming platform Aonic AB on its acquisition of the AddApptr Group. The total investment value was in the range of EUR50 million. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Hamburg, the AddApptr Group is a fast-growing, leading global mobile ad tech company also active in, among others, the United Kingdom, France and Poland. By its own account, the AddApptr Group provides over 1,000 apps with monetarization services and software infrastructure for in-app advertising with a reach of 450 million active users across the globe.

Aonic is a video gaming family consisting of development studios as well as gaming-related technology and service providers across all devices. Aonic was created to champion and support high potential, midsized studios which want to be part of a strong group in order to unlock its full potential while maintaining its independent spirit, identity and creative freedom.

The DLA Piper team was led by partner Andreas Füchsel (Private Equity/M&A, Frankfurt). The core team also included associate Philipp Meyer (Private Equity/M&A).
