Mariana Chavez is an associate in the Tax practice area. Her practice focuses on advising domestic and international companies on tax matters, including tax consulting, transaction planning, tax compliance, and handling disputes with tax authorities. She has experience in the analysis and implementation of corporate structures and transactions from a tax perspective, as well as in the interpretation and application of Mexican tax legislation. She also regularly participates in the preparation of legal opinions, tax risk analyses and strategies related to federal taxes for clients across various economic sectors. She also participates in the area of tax litigation in the defense of taxpayers in administrative and jurisdictional proceedings. Her experience encompasses the analysis of governmental acts, the preparation of defense strategies, and the drafting of briefs in proceedings before the tax authorities and specialized courts.
