DLA Piper advises 2Ride on the acquisition of CASCO

DLA Piper has advised 2Ride, one of Europe's leading companies in the manufacturing and distribution of protective accessories for motorcyclists and skiers, on its acquisition of CASCO. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The advice included all legal parts as well as the tax aspects of the transaction.

With this acquisition, 2Ride intends to further strengthen its position in the outdoor segment. In addition, the two companies will expand their product portfolio and also increase their sales capacities for further markets.

CASCO, a family-owned company founded in 1989, is one of the leading developers and manufacturers of high-class helmets and eyewear, particularly in the fields of equestrian sports, cycling and skiing. In addition, the company is also known for its firefighting and rescue helmets. The company has sites in Germany and Romania.

2Ride is the parent company of brands such as Shark, Nolan, Troy Lee Designs, Segura, Bering and Cairn Sport and part of the portfolio of Eurazeo, a leading Paris-based mid-cap investor specializing in venture capital, growth capital, private debt and private equity, and Naxicap, a Private Equity firm operating in all sectors and focusing on leverage buyouts and growth capital.
