DLA Piper partner Kristi Kung named a DC Rising Star by the National Law Journal

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that partner Kristi Kung has been named a 2022 DC Rising Star by the National Law Journal.

Kung, who serves as chair of DLA Piper’s Healthcare Regulatory practice and co-chair of the Digital Health group, was recognized for her many accomplishments, including her work during the pandemic to help clients in the telehealth and digital health law space, which enabled many people to seek needed healthcare services while maintaining the social distancing measures designed to decrease further spread.

In her practice, Kung focuses on the representation of healthcare clients in a range of regulatory, compliance and transactional matters. She advises healthcare providers, emerging health IT companies, medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers, vendors and investors in the digital health industry on regulatory and strategic matters critical to her clients’ telehealth and other health technology products, platforms and services. She has worked with digital health startups, IT vendors and health systems to develop and implement telehealth networks throughout the United States and internationally.

Her practice also involves regulatory diligence and structuring support in healthcare and life sciences acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, investments and other financings, covering a variety of health disciplines. Clients frequently turn to Kung for her practical and pragmatic counsel and her ability to design creative solutions to novel legal challenges.
