Wendy Smith

Wendy has a focus on corporate and commercial law, with a particular interest in governance, contract negotiation, and insurance regulation.

She advises clients in all sectors on corporate and commercial matters in New Zealand, including advising international businesses on their entry into the jurisdiction, assisting on structuring and entity establishment, including for joint ventures, and advising on insurance regulation in New Zealand.

Wendy also advises on all aspects of corporate governance for a variety of entities, including public entities and those in the financial services and insurance sector.  In addition Wendy facilitates mergers and acquisitions for a range of clients.

She also has experience in negotiating a number of long term public/private partnerships across a number of sectors, including insurance, construction and technology.
