DLA Piper partner Erin Gibson named to The Recorder’s 2025 Women Leaders in Tech Law list

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Erin Gibson, Global Co-Chair of the firm’s Technology sector and Chair of the International Trade Commission (ITC) practice, was named to The Recorder’s 2025 Women Leaders in Tech Law list in the Intellectual Property category as part of the publication’s annual California Legal Awards.

Gibson was recognized in part for securing significant victories for her clients in two separate matters, including one in which she served as first-chair ITC trial counsel for global semiconductor leader NXP Semiconductors. In this case, the complaint was withdrawn entirely less than a week before trial in April 2024, leading to a walk-away victory for her client.

Gibson has tried 20 cases, including 18 patent trials in federal district courts and the International Trade Commission. She has handled more than 50 ITC cases, including as a first-chair trial lawyer for some of the world’s largest technology companies.
