DLA Piper Canada welcomes counsel Anthony Mersich

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes Anthony Mersich to the firm’s Calgary office in the Restructuring group.‎ 

Anthony advises and acts on behalf of financial institutions, debtors, trade creditors, and court-officers in insolvency and debt enforcement proceedings, including receiverships, foreclosures, bankruptcies, proposals and restructurings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act. Anthony has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta and is an executive for the CBA Alberta insolvency section. 

Anthony joins DLA Piper after practicing at a leading Canadian law firm. Prior to practicing law, Anthony was a geophysicist in Alberta’s oil and gas sector. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.
