About

Naomi Moore focuses her practice on cross-border insolvency and restructuring, special situations, distressed debt and private credit. She has worked on transactions and cases across multiple jurisdictions throughout the Asia-Pacific region and has experience in a wide range of sectors, including but not limited to energy and resources, real estate, aviation and retail.

Naomi represents investment funds, creditors’ committees, insolvency office-holders, debtors and other stakeholders in restructurings, insolvency procedures and distressed situations. She also assists investment fund clients and other financial institutions with private lending and other credit transactions. Naomi is Co-Chair of the firm's global restructuring practice and also leads the firm's restructuring practice across Asia-Pacific.

Asia Pacific Legal 500 notes that Naomi is "a very experienced and hands-on lawyer, with broad knowledge of both restructuring and finance. She is easy to work with, collaborative and commercial." EXPERIENCE

  • Representing a former ASX listed Australian based gold producer, TenSixty Four Limited, in connection with its voluntary administration and restructuring through a deed of company arrangement involving the renegotiation of financial and operational agreements with affiliated entities including tolling arrangements in the Philippines.
  • Representing an Australian private credit fund with respect to the recovery of a secured loan owed by an Australian headquartered group with various offshore assets including US listed securities and business and operations in Europe.
  • Representing a Singapore headquartered upstream oil & gas company on its bid for the acquisition of offshore oil and gas assets in Thailand through an Australian receivership sale process.
  • Advising a US headquartered global provider of coworking space on Australian law issues in connection with its USD 4 billion financial restructuring through chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in the United States.
  • Advising CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc. as international brand owner and secured lender on the voluntary administration and liquidation of its Australian master franchisee, CJ's QSR Group, which operated and sub-licensed approximately 50 branded quick-service restaurants across Australia.
  • Advising a Chinese financial institution as a significant creditor of a Chinese real estate group in connection with a large scale cross border restructuring, including advising on schemes of arrangement and restructuring issues.
  • Advising a US headquartered global manufacturing group in connection with distressed critical supply chain operations in mainland China.
  • Representing a global institutional bank as senior secured lender in relation to the voluntary administration of a manufacturing business including the sale of secured property by the administrators.
  • Representing the voluntary administrators of Australia’s second largest airline, Virgin Australia Holdings Limited (Administrators Appointed), as special noteholder liaison counsel to liaise with holders of various tranches of notes in excess of AUD 1.9 billion.*
  • Representing an ad hoc committee of noteholders of US$420 million senior notes issued by China Singyes Solar Technologies Holdings Limited, a Bermuda incorporated HKSE listed provider of renewable energy solutions through parallel schemes of arrangement in Hong Kong.
  • Representing an international hedge fund in connection with secured loans in multiple Korean real estate financing transactions, including secured loans, enforcement of security interests, credit bids, restructurings, refinancings and debt purchases.*
