Stephanie Ovens is an associate to the Litigation, Arbitration and ‎Investigations group, where she focuses ‎on family law and estate matters. She has appeared at all levels of court in B.C., as well as in alternative ‎dispute resolution forums, including mediation and arbitration.‎

Stephanie’s family law practice includes matters pertaining to asset division, spousal support, child ‎support, and drafting and advising on cohabitation, marriage, and separation agreements. Her estate ‎practice covers a broad spectrum, and includes wills variation claims, removing personal representatives, ‎the validity of wills, debt and common law trust claims, Committeeship applications, and claims relating to ‎documents that do not meet the formality requirements of a will in B.C.‎

Stephanie’s practice also includes situations where estate matters and family law intersect, including ‎seeking support against an estate, enforcing family law agreements against an estate, and issues of ‎contested separation and spousal status.‎

Stephanie is a regular contributor to the Continuing Legal Education Society of B.C.’s family law ‎publications.‎
