As part of London International Disputes Week, this event will explore how Brazil-based mining operations navigate English law contracts and London-seated arbitration in “Mining to Maritime: Commercial arbitration across the UK-Brazil supply chain”.
The event will examine how regulatory constraints, on-site operational challenges, and maritime risks along the logistics chain translate into arbitration exposure across the mining sector. From a corporate perspective, particular attention will be paid to dispute scenarios arising out of M&A transactions, while disputes under long-term take-or-pay, offtake agreements, and other core mining and shipping contracts, will be analysed in light of supply chain failures.
Our speakers will explore how these cross-border arrangements interact, why London remains the preferred arbitral seat, and how companies can design coherent, resilient dispute resolution frameworks across their full commercial chain.
