DLA Piper advises AXA Investment Manager Alts on BNP Paribas merger
Global law firm DLA Piper has advised AXA IM Alts on regulatory and contractual matters arising from its integration into the BNP Paribas Asset Management group, following the completion of the acquisition six months ago.
The firm supported AXA IM Alts with regulatory and contractual analysis and oversaw updates to documentation required for the transfer of collective investment management activities. The mandate covered a broad range of pan‑European investment vehicles—both regulated and unregulated—across jurisdictions including France, Luxembourg and Ireland.
A cross-border and multidisciplinary DLA Piper team - advised on fund‑level contractual arrangements, including those relating to financing and investment transactions - was led by Diane Campion de Poligny, Paris based Investment funds partner in the firm's Corporate practice. She was supported by partners Pierre d'Ormesson and Sophie Lok (both Finance), senior associate, Gertjan Dewilde (Corporate), associates, Pia Sabatier, Lucas Meyruey, Julie Palumbo, and Youssef Warde (all Corporate), Sophie Péligry, Eléonore Secq, Clément Le Goff and Achille Treuil (all Finance) and a team from the firm's Legal Delivery Centre. Teams from the firm's Amsterdam, Antwerp, Frankfurt, Dublin, London, Luxembourg, Madrid, Tokyo and United States offices also supported.
