DLA Piper advised DAX company Heidelberg Materials on the acquisition of SER Group

DLA Piper advised Heidelberg Materials on the acquisition of SER Group, a leading integrated company in the demolition and construction materials recycling business in Greater Heilbronn. The purchase agreement was signed on February 1, 2023. The transaction is subject to merger clearance; closing is anticipated to be in the first half of 2023.

With this acquisition, the globally active building materials group Heidelberg Materials, which is listed in the leading German index DAX, further expands its activities in the field of recycling management in Germany; the reuse of building materials and concrete recycling are part of Heidelberg Materials' sustainability strategy and crucial to achieve the company's ambitious climate targets.

With more than 220 employees at three modern recycling sites, SER Group generates annual sales of around EUR 50 million.
