DLA Piper advises Catella Real Estate on acquisition of production property

DLA Piper has advised Catella Real Estate AG (CREAG) on the acquisition of a recently completed, approx. 18,490 m² production property in Langenau near Ulm, Germany, for the special AIF "Catella Logistik Deutschland Plus". The property is fully leased on a long-term basis as part of a sale-and-leaseback transaction.

Completed in March 2023, the property was developed with high technical standards and designed according to the tenant's requirements. The suitability of the building for use as a logistics property was also taken into account during the planning stage and allows for flexible re-letting.

With the acquisition of the property, Catella was able to secure the 14th property for the special fund Catella Logistik Deutschland Plus. The property is characterized by its new construction quality and high ESG standards and further stabilizes the cash flow of the investment fund through long-term leasing.

The DLA Piper team was jointly led by partners Dr Martin Haller and Dr Manuel Indlekofer and also included senior associates Dr Lilian Gutkin, Dr Catharina Voss, Thomas Herbst and associate Sophia Aiello (all Real Estate, Munich).
