DLA Piper receives Pennsylvania Product Liability Litigation Department of the Year award from Legal Intelligencer
DLA Piper is pleased to announce that the firm received the Pennsylvania Product Liability Department of the Year award as part of the Legal Intelligencer’s 2025 Pennsylvania Legal Awards.
The firm was selected for its achievements in 2024, which included its successful trial defense of B. Braun in a landmark toxic tort trial in Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, as well as its representation of Novo Nordisk in ongoing multidistrict litigation over the diabetes and obesity drugs Ozempic, Wegovy, and Rybelsus.
DLA Piper’s Philadelphia Product Liability practice has earned widespread recognition for its representation of global industry leaders across diverse sectors, serving as national counsel for some of the most prominent manufacturers of outdoor power, construction and agricultural equipment, tires and luxury automobiles in consumer and commercial products litigation and class action matters, and its representation of industry giants like BASF and Northrop Grumman in toxic tort litigation. In the pharmaceutical and medical device sector, the team represents global pharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer, Sanofi, Bayer, and B. Braun, in headline-making mass tort matters. The practice is known for its ability to not only defend complex mass tort litigation but also to prevent litigation entirely or substantially limit potential exposure.
