DLA Piper advises Qatar Sports Investments on strategic investment with Arctos in Paris Saint-Germain

DLA Piper advised Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) in connection with its landmark strategic partnership and investment deal with Arctos Sports Partners in which Arctos will acquire a minority equity stake in Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Since QSI acquired the club in 2011, PSG has won 30 men’s football trophies and last year won a record 11th French Ligue 1 title. PSG engages a community of over 200 million social media followers worldwide and is a rapidly expanding fashion and lifestyle brand across the globe. Under the ownership of QSI, PSG has delivered the fastest revenue growth of any major European football team and has achieved incredible commercial success through table-topping matchday and sponsorship revenues.

The cross-border DLA Piper team was led by partners Frank Ryan, Richard Rubano (both in New York) and Alice Magnan (Paris); and included partners Alex Meiseles and Alex Steinberg (both in New York) and associates Austin Patterson (Austin), Gertjan Dewilde and Julie Palumbo (both in Paris).
