Morgan McDonald recognized by BIV with a 2023 Forty under 40 Award
DLA Piper Canada is proud to announce that Vancouver partner Morgan McDonald has been selected by BIV to receive a 2023 Forty Under 40 Award, a prestigious annual award that recognizes excellence in business and community leadership.
This year’s winners were chosen by a judging panel comprised of past award winners and members of BIV’s leadership team year and boast remarkable early-career achievements and a clear dedication to service, engagement and volunteerism. Award winners are featured in BIV’s annual Forty Under 40 Magazine, and will be recognized at a gala event on February 7, 2024.
Morgan has a thriving practice focused on assisting founders, start-up and growth companies in the technology sector with corporate matters, commercial transactions, M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions, in addition to emerging growth areas such as artificial intelligence. Incorporating her expertise and leadership into partnered legal advice throughout the community, Morgan is co-founder of DLA Piper’s Black and Indigenous Business Law Clinic, an organization dedicated to providing Black and Indigenous businesses with pro bono, corporate and commercial legal advice. Morgan is also active in Canada-wide incubator and accelerator programs such as Spring Activator, Acetech, and The Forum, where she sits on the board and is as an active mentor to numerous entrepreneurs.
