DLA Piper advises Avia Pharma on acquisition of Neubourg Group

DLA Piper has advised Avia Pharma, a Swedish pharma group, on the acquisition of Neubourg Group. Neubourg Group is a provider of cosmetic and medical skin care products and consists of ten companies, seven of which are based in Germany, one in Canada, one in Denmark and one in the UK. The transaction was completed at the end of January 2024. The parties have agreed not to disclose the terms of the purchase price.

The Neubourg Group comprises seven brands with more than 90 products. The focus of the product range is on high-quality foam creams. The company has been researching and developing in the field of foam cream care for 20 years now. The group also offers new solutions in the field of podiatry.

Avia Pharma specializes in dermatology, allergy, women's health, urology and general OTC. The group was founded in 2016 and has sales and marketing organizations in the Nordic region as well as Germany. Avia Pharma distributes pharmaceuticals both through its own portfolio and through license agreements. The strategic acquisition of Neubourg Group is part of Avia Pharma's buy-and-build strategy, which aims to strengthen its market position in the DACH region and create a northern European pharmaceutical company in the long term.
