Aliyyah Muhammad is an associate in DLA Piper’s Telecommunications practice, with a focus on telecom transactions and wireless and global satellite regulatory matters. She advises service providers, technology companies, and investors on spectrum access, market entry, licensing and compliance, and complex commercial arrangements across terrestrial and space-based communications. She also advises on radio frequency (RF) emissions safety and compliance under Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Office of Engineering and Technology (OET) Bulletin 65, International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) guidelines, and European Union (EU) frameworks. 

Aliyyah plays a lead role in DLA Piper’s flagship digital publication, Telecom Laws of the World, helping synthesize multi-jurisdictional regulatory developments into practical guidance. Before joining the firm, she participated in Latino Justice’s Corporate/Law Firm Alliance Summer Program, gaining in house and law firm experience over consecutive summers at T-Mobile and DLA Piper. Aliyyah earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School, where she received the 2023 Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award for Debtor & Creditor Law and the Dean’s Pro Bono Publico Award for Exceptional Service. She also has Arabic language skills.
