Adriana Pérez Rentas focuses her practice in the area of corporate law advising private companies, including financial and strategic investors, in connection with mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, joint ventures, reorganizations and general corporate matters. Adriana has also advised both private and government clients on public private partnerships and government procurement in general. 

Adriana’s experience spans a variety of industries, including energy, healthcare, retail and financial and professional services.

EXPERIENCE

P3: 
• Counsel to the Puerto Rico Ports Authority in its public private partnership proposal regarding the concession of the San Juan Bay Cruise Terminals. 
• Counsel to the Puerto Rico Ports Authority regarding procurement of an operation and management agreement for nine of Puerto Rico’s regional airports.

M&A: 
• Counsel to a leading global solar independent power producer in the sale of its interest in Puerto Rico solar operations. 
• Counsel to a leading human resource and recruiting company in its proposed acquisition of various entities located in South America, Central America, Europe, the Caribbean and the United Arab Emirates. 
• Counsel to various clients in cross border M&A transactions. 

Government Procurement: 
• Counsel to the administrator to the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority on non-federal government procurement. 

Healthcare: 
• Counsel to the sponsor and principal shareholder of various ambulatory surgical centers.

Real Estate: 
• Counsel to various institutional clients in the purchase/sale of Puerto Rico real estate, including but not limited to, real property assets in bankruptcy. 
• Counsel to a consortium in the acquisition of the El San Juan Resort & Casino. This project included the purchase of various parcels (including a ground lease), the application for tourism tax credits and transfer of both Casino and liquor licenses. 
• Counsel to various clients in the purchase of residential properties in Puerto Rico, including properties that may benefit from new construction tax benefits.
