Paweł Szostek advises on investment projects and regulatory issues in the energy sector.

He supports clients in the construction of electricity generation plants and connection and distribution infrastructure, as well as the evaluation of planned and operating installations (in a transactional context) - with a particular focus on the renewable energy sector, including PV plants, onshore and offshore wind farms, and BESS projects.

Paweł also has extensive experience in issues related to conventional power and oil and gas projects, and he supports clients in disputes and proceedings before the President of the Energy Regulatory Authority.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising Respect Energy on the acquisition and development of a PV plant with a maximum potential capacity of 290 MW, including preparing the full transaction documentation and conducting a due diligence review.
  • Advising Respect Energy on the acquisition and early-stage development of the biggest wind farm and PV plant in Poland, with a total planned capacity of over 1 GW.
  • Advising a client on the acquisition and development of a 108.8 MW wind farm, including preparing the full transaction documentation and conducting a due diligence review. This was one of Poland's biggest wind farm project deals to date (2022) in terms of capacity.
  • Advising a client on the development and sale of a 63 MW wind farm, including preparing the transaction documentation and handling all the regulatory aspects of the deal. The wind farm is expected to generate around 200 GWh of electricity per year.
