Tav has a broad range of experience of commercial property transactions with a particular focus on advising on all aspects of landlord and tenant matters, portfolio management, lease renewals and regears, acquisitions and disposals and office re-locations. Tav also provides real estate support in respect of corporate and finance transactions in the UK and internationally.

Tav has particular expertise in the hospitality and leisure sector (with a particular focus on hotels and restaurants), energy and natural resources, technology, telecoms and real estate occupiers. Tav has recently concluded a secondment to a global hotel operator’s in-house legal team which enabled him to gain an understanding of a global hotel’s business model.

EXPERIENCE

  • Acting for an international private equity group in the acquisition of a portfolio of supermarket assets by way of sale and leaseback. Project value GBP650m.
  • Acting for a major British retailer, on the real estate aspects of their refinancing of a flagship retail store on Oxford Street, London. Project value GBP310m.
  • Advising BayWa r.e., a leading renewable energy developer, on the real estate aspects concerning the sale of three solar projects to Octopus Energy Generation.
  • Advising a global retailer on the relocation of their flagship retail store in the UK to Oxford Street, London.
  • Acting for international investors on the corporate real estate acquisition of Victoria Leeds, comprising Victoria Quarter, Victoria Gate and Wrays Buildings.
  • Advising various multinational retailers on all UK real estate matters and day-to-day asset management.
