Kim Griffin is an Attorney in the Data Protection, Privacy and Security Group in DLA Piper's Palo Alto office. She specializes in guiding clients through complex privacy and cybersecurity regulations, with a particular focus on privacy governance, AI implementation, AdTech compliance, and consumer protection strategies.

Drawing on her 20+ years of in-house experience at a nationwide fitness company, Kim brings a pragmatic perspective to legal challenges. In her previous role, she provided comprehensive counsel on privacy, biometrics, data security, risk management, marketing compliance, regulatory affairs, and intellectual property protection. This extensive operational background enables Kim to translate complex legal requirements into actionable business solutions.

At her prior firm, Kim advised organizations across diverse sectors including SaaS providers, retail operations, Fintech, healthcare entities, and educational technology companies.

Kim holds five certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP): Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and Certified Information Privacy Professional EU, Canada, and US (CIPP/E, CIPP/C and CIPP/US).
