Erica Hughes focuses her practice in the area of advertising, sweepstakes, contests, trademark, copyright and media.
Her key areas of experience include preparing and negotiating intellectual property and advertising agreements, including influencer marketing agreements. In addition, she counsels clients on structuring and executing sweepstakes, contests, and other promotions to comply with state and federal anti-lottery and anti-gambling regulations governing on-line and off-line contest and sweepstakes promotions. She also regularly handles domestic and international trademark search and clearance matters, and maintenance, prosecution and enforcement of trademark and certification mark portfolios for clients in a wide variety of industries. Erica's experience also encompasses intellectual property issues arising on the Internet, social media, and online marketplaces, copyright infringement matters, domain name dispute resolution and online trademark infringement.
