Florian Jeske has vast experience in providing legal advice to German as well as international clients on all aspects of employment and labour law as well as related areas of law.

He focuses on advising clients of the technology and the retail sector on works constitution matters, in particular on co-determination and participation rights of works councils. Florian regularly represents clients in negotiations with works councils and in conciliation committees, in particular with regard to operational changes and the implementation of software / new technology.

His other main areas of practice include advice on restructurings, acquisitions, transfers of business, labour leasing and terminations of employment.

Florian frequently represents companies in both works-council and individual employment law related issues at local and higher labour courts in Germany.

  • Advising a logistics company on different working time matters as well as on co-determination rights of its works council. Representing this client in several court proceedings − both in works council and individual matters.
  • Advising several international companies on labour leasing / temporary work as well as on independent contractor agreements.
  • Representing a retail company in works council negotiations with regard to working time issues and camera surveillance.
  • Representing several international technology and retail companies in court proceedings, in particular with regard to dismissal protection lawsuits and bonus claims of employees.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Florian worked from 2012 until 2014 as a trainee associate in the labor and employment law practice of another international law firm. Florian also completed internships lasting several months with the German Federal Foreign Office and in the labor and employment law practices of international law firms.
