Katie Taylor practices in the areas of wills, estates and trusts law, with a particular emphasis on estate planning and estate administration for Canadian residents domiciled or owning assets in British Columbia.

On the planning side, Katie advises clients on succession and tax issues, and drafts wills (including multiple wills), incapacity planning documents, beneficiary designations, and inter vivos trusts (including alter ego, joint partner, family and disability trusts). On the administration side, Katie advises personal representatives and assists with applications for representation grants in British Columbia.

During law school, Katie competed in the Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot, and she reviewed claims ‎of wrongful conviction as a caseworker with the UBC Innocence Project. Prior to law school, Katie earned ‎a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in history, as well as a Diploma in Accounting.‎

Katie summered and articled with the firm, before joining as an associate in 2020.‎
