In 2024, he undertook a secondment to Bangkok, Thailand, where he sat with the disputes team, working on industrials and insurance matters across South-East Asia.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising Latin America’s largest vertical air mobility and delivery solutions provider in connection with the delivery of ten+ helicopters financed with different finance providers, including 8x helicopters over an eight-week period, and U.S. ExIm-backed financings.
  • Advising on the disposals of 2x used A321-200 aircraft under split arrangements (Turkey and Egypt re: airframes and Ireland re: engines).
  • Advising (re)insurers in relation to multi-billion dollar claims by aircraft leasing companies arising out of the Russia/Ukraine conflict.
  • Acting for the Light Aircraft Association and its insurer in relation to multiple disputes arising out of crashes involving light aircraft.
  • Advising a Middle-Eastern carrier in relation to a lease dispute arising out of Russia/Ukraine sanctions.
  • Advising a business jet operator in relation to the appeal of a public body’s decision under the carbon credit reporting regulations.
  • Advising multiple investment funds on their investments into various aviation entities, including advice on ownership and control and regulatory approvals.
  • Advising a major airline on the AFIC JOLCO financing of 1x B787-9 aircraft.
  • Advising a Middle-Eastern carrier in relation to multiple engine leases and financings with different financiers/lessors.
