Life Sciences News in Poland – December 2025

Regulatory changes announced in December 2025 significantly modify the legal environment for businesses operating in the Life Sciences sector, affecting pharmaceutical law, the pharmacy market, healthcare regulation and food law.

The most relevant developments include:

  • Medicinal products: EU-level agreement on the pharmaceutical package, representing the most extensive reform of pharmaceutical legislation in over 20 years
  • Pharmacies: draft amendments to the Pharmaceutical Law lifting the absolute ban on pharmacy advertising, as well as the Ministry of Health’s position on “Pharmacy for the Pharmacist 2.0”
  • Healthcare: amendments to the National Health Programme, extending its applicability until 2026
  • Food and food supplements: new GIS guidance on the use of Artemisia absinthium in food supplements
  • Public health: entry into force of provisions enabling enforcement of the ban on the sale of energy drinks to minors.
