DLA Piper advises Tilad on sale of Berlin office complex

DLA Piper has advised Dubai based investment company Tilad on the sale of its Berlin office complex “Atrium Charlottenburg” to Hines. DLA Piper has also advised Tilad on the acquisition of the property in 2014.

Built in 1995, the property “Atrium Charlottenburg” is situated in Berlin’s district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and has a total rentable floor space of 40,882 m2 over nine floors. The property is fully let with main tenants including the State of Berlin, the job center Berlin Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf as well as the Fraunhofer Institute.

The DLA Piper team was led by partner Fabian Mühlen (Real Estate) and comprised partners Dr Marie-Theres Rämer (Tax), Dr Torsten Pokropp (Real Estate Finance), Semin O (Antitrust, all Frankfurt) and Dr Cornelius Frie (Corporate, Cologne).
