DLA Piper advises Planet Sport on share issuance

DLA Piper has advised Planet Sport, the leading distributor of international sporting goods brands in Morocco, on the issuance of new shares through a capital increase reserved for Maghreb Private Equity Fund IV SARL (MPEF IV SARL) and Maghreb Private Equity Fund IV LLC (MPEF LLC).

Founded in 1999, Planet Sport operates over 20 stores in Morocco and stocks over 5000 different categories of products across its stores.

The team was led by Christophe Bachelet, Country Managing Partner for Morocco and was supported by Léa Attias Hazan, associate in the Corporate practice. MPEF IV SARL and MPEF LCC were advised by ADNA Morocco’s team led by Safia Fassi Fihri and supported by Ghita Berrada and Boubacar Diao, while WeAdvise led by Mohamed Benhaddou acted as financial advisor in the transaction.
