About

Michał Pietuszko has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, having worked for both property developers and legal firms.

He advises clients from various sectors (e.g. logistics, office, hospitality and retail) on real estate transactions and during all stages of the implementation of investment projects. In particular, he has extensive experience in the sale, purchase, commercialisation and management of logistics centres and warehouses, as well as supporting Polish and multinational property developers in carrying out investments in Poland (including those involving partnerships with public institutions).

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising DHL Exel Supply Chain, a leading contract logistics provider, on its investment in DL Invest Park Psary, Poland.
  • Advising Elite Partners Capital on the purchase of five warehouse buildings covering a combined area of more than 200,000 sq. m. located south-west of Warsaw in a fast-developing logistics park. This was one of the largest logistics transactions in 2020.
  • Advising WeWork, a leading global provider of co-working spaces, on construction matters during its expansion in Poland.
  • Advising the Kuwait investor Markaz on its first investment in Poland, which involved concluding a development management agreement with Panattoni Europe and acquiring a real property in southern Poland with a total area of 80 000 sq. m., designated for the development a with 50 000 sq. m. logistics centre.
  • Advising Marriott Group, an international hotel chain, on its expansion to a number of Polish cities to operate hotels under one of Marriott's brands. The work included a due diligence review of several properties in Warsaw, Gdańsk, Szczecin, Lublin, Katowice, Kraków and Poznań, and the preparation of franchise agreements related to the operation of the hotels under the new brand.
