DLA Piper adds Brendan Oviedo to its Energy and Infrastructure practices in Peru
DLA Piper has further strengthened its Energy and Infrastructure practices with the addition of Partner Brendan Oviedo in the firm’s Lima office.
With more than two decades of experience, Oviedo is a highly regarded practitioner in energy, infrastructure, climate change, and project development matters. He is consistently recognized by leading international directories for his counsel across renewable energy, power generation, oil and gas, and large-scale infrastructure project development.
Oviedo’s practice is focused on structuring, development, and financing of energy and infrastructure projects, helping clients navigate complex project finance structures, evolving regulatory frameworks, and the legal challenges associated with energy transition and sustainable development.
“Energy and infrastructure projects drive economic development and shape the future of the Americas,” said Francisco Cerezo, Chair of DLA Piper’s US-Latin America practice. “Brendan brings sophisticated knowledge in these major development sectors, with a particular focus of the evolving landscape in Peru and across Latin America. His capabilities further enable us to provide clients top-tier counsel on complex, cross-border matters.”
“Brendan’s extensive experience in navigating complex regulatory environments and achieving results for clients within the energy and infrastructure sectors, strengthens our capabilities locally and supports our clients as they pursue projects across Latin America and globally,” said Sergio Barboza, Co-Managing Partner of DLA Piper’s Peru office.
“Peru continues to be a focal point for innovative energy and infrastructure investment across the region,” said Luis Vargas, Co-Managing Partner of the firm’s Peru office. “Brendan’s addition further elevates our ability to support clients with integrated, cross-border counsel that is closely aligned with their business objectives.”
