DLA Piper advises Nethone in acquiring Advent International as new majority investor and joining MANGOPAY Group

DLA Piper Poland advised Nethone in the process of acquiring Advent International as the new majority investor and joining the MANGOPAY Group. The transaction was led by Michal Gintowt under the partner supervision of Jakub Marcinkowski from the Corporate and M&A team. Tax advisory was provided by Rafal Dostatni under the guidance of partner Lukasz Dynysiuk.

Nethone is a machine learning-based SaaS company that prevents fraud in online channels. It was founded in 2016 by a group of security experts, experienced financial managers and data science specialists.

MANGOPAY, with its unique and comprehensive payment infrastructure, strengthens the ecosystem of online platforms. Founded in 2013, the company now serves more than 2,500 market-leading platforms and marketplaces.

As part of Advent International's signature investment, Nethone, while retaining its autonomy in terms of brand and operations, will create a unique fraud prevention solution with MANGOPAY, dedicated specifically to marketplaces. The partnership already enables platforms to increase conversion rates, through optimized scoring of pay-in transactions, better management of 3DS2 waivers and ID validation.
