DLA Piper welcomes Joo Kim as a partner in the Structured Finance Practice
DLA Piper is pleased to welcome Joo Kim as the newest addition to the Structured Finance Practice in New York.
Joo has more than 23 years of experience in advising large financial institutions and companies in complex structured finance transactions and securitizations with an emphasis on the financing of commercial real estate loans including mortgage-backed securitization transactions (CMBS).
She frequently advises commercial mortgage loan originators, loan sellers, issuers and underwriters in connection with the securitizations of commercial mortgage loans and multifamily mortgage loans. She also has deep experience in securitization transactions involving non-performing commercial and residential mortgage loans, aircraft and aircraft operating leases, royalty receivables, trade receivables and whole company securitizations.
“Joo’s knowledge and breadth of experience in complex structured finance transactions, including CMBS and other asset classes, will be an important additional asset to our clients in this evolving market,” said Richard Reilly, global co-head of DLA Piper’s Finance practice.
“We are pleased to welcome another talented and sought-after finance attorney to our New York office, and we are excited to support Joo as she helps grow the firm’s high-end finance practice in this key market,” said Cara Edwards, managing partner of the firm’s New York office.
