Noorvik Minasian litigates and counsels clients in complex US and international commercial disputes. He handles novel issues and high-stakes matters for both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state court, as well as in international arbitral proceedings in a broad array of areas, including contract litigation, business torts, toxic torts, products liability, and securities litigation. Noorvik has represented clients from various industries and sectors, including several Fortune 100 companies.

Noorvik has experience with all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation investigations, all stages of fact and expert discovery, motion practice, pre-trial issues, and alternative dispute resolutions.

Additionally, Noorvik assists clients with internal and government facing investigations, such as in connection with alleged violations of the False Claims Act (FCA).

Before joining DLA Piper, Noorvik started his legal career at another elite big law firm. He previously served as an extern to Judge John A. Kronstadt of the US District Court for the Central District of California. Noorvik is fluent in German, Armenian, and Farsi, and conversational in French.

EXPERIENCE

  • Defending a major manufacturer of baby food in Multi District Litigation and Judicial Council Coordination Proceeding against allegations that its products cause neurodevelopmental harms
  • Representing social media platform Truth Social owner and technology company in action against former SPAC sponsor. See Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. (f/k/a Digital World Acquisition Corp), et al v. ARC Global Investments II, LLC, et al, Case No. 2024-CA-001061-NC (Fla. 12th Jud'l Cir. 2024)
  • Representing a Chinese investment company in a dispute involving Bitcoin mining operations
  • Defended multinational insurance companies, including Lloyd's syndicates, in multibillion dollar insurance coverage lawsuits arising out of aircraft leased by U.S. business entities to Russian airlines, which remain in Russia following the Russian invasion of Ukraine
  • Represented a German manufacturer and distributor in an ICC arbitration against a US contractor involving claims of breach of contract and misrepresentation
  • Represented a national real estate investment company in a securities litigation dispute
  • Represented a U.S.-based medical device company in connection with a DOJ investigation into alleged violations of the FCA in connection with the submission of claims for reimbursement to various Federal Healthcare Programs
  • Represented a Fortune 10 pharmaceutical company in connection with an internal investigation involving the company's operations in the Middle-East regarding anti-corruption concerns
  • Defended a Global 100 energy company in toxic tort litigation involving exposures throughout the United States.

Representative Decisions

  • HBTPower Limited v. Mohawk Energy, Inc., Case No. 5440001154 (JAMS Arbitration): Secured a significant victory for HBTPower Limited in a complex arbitration arising from the development of a Bitcoin mining operation in eastern Kentucky, resulting in an arbitration award of $51 million
  • Landon R. v. Hain Celestial Group Inc., et al., Case No. 23STCV24844 (JCCP 5317), (Cal. Super. Ct. Dec. 3, 2025) (assisted with excluding plaintiff's exposure expert's opinion based on use of a flawed methodology, thereby leading to disposition of case with claims that heavy metals found in trace amounts of nutritious baby food products caused plaintiff's autism and ADHD)
  • NC v. Hain Celestial Group, Inc. et al., Case No. 21STCV22822, 2023 WL 8261721 (Cal. Super. Aug. 24, 2023) (assisted with excluding plaintiff's exposure expert and two specific causation experts based on use of a flawed methodologies, thereby leading to disposition of case with claims that heavy metals found in trace amounts of nutritious baby food products caused plaintiff's autism and ADHD)
     
 
 

Pro Bono

Noorvik has made several pro bono achievements, having successfully represented marginalized individuals in various contexts

  • In re Marriage of Lotte Van Der Veer (B326982) (2024) – Second Appellate District, Division 3. In a unanimous decision, the Court of Appeal upheld the trial court's award of attorneys' fees to a victim of domestic violence, finding that it did not abuse its discretion in awarding fees, following Noorvik's successful briefing and oral argument on the issue
