Sydney Kert and Jamie Mandell nominated for DMZ’s Women of the Year award

Leading Canadian startup incubator DMZ has nominated Toronto partners Sydney Kert and Jamie Mandell for their Women of the Year (WOTY) award. The highly anticipated award is curated by the Canadian tech ‎community with a list of nominees from diverse backgrounds and industries including startup founders, corporate leaders, non-profit trailblazers and more.

Sydney and Jamie are members of the Capital Markets group with practices focussed on securities and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate commercial law. They are trusted advisors to a range of startups, growth stage companies and large publicly traded companies‎ across numerous industries.

Both Sydney and Jamie lead legal clinics and ‎other hands-on training‎ for DMZ’s new program in support of women entrepreneurs, Launchpad for Women Entrepreneurs. Developed by DMZ at Toronto Metropolitan University and the YMCA of Greater Toronto, the program is designed exclusively for women entrepreneurs of diverse backgrounds and industries, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and resources to kickstart their entrepreneurial journeys while tapping into connections to mentors and a community to propel their businesses forward.
