John represents multinational clients with a focus on corporate reorganizations and restructurings. His experience spans a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, semiconductors, energy, health and biosciences, manufacturing, social media, AI, aerospace, and automation.

He advises clients on a broad spectrum of transactional matters, including carve-outs, spin-offs, mergers and acquisitions, cash repatriation planning, corporate governance, corporate compliance, intercompany transactions, transfer pricing and operating model implementation, global entity management and entity rationalizations.

John's recent representations include:

Advised Honeywell International Inc. on the carve-out of its aerospace business prior to the spin-off to its shareholders.

Advised International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. on the carve-out of its pharmaceutical business ahead of the sale to Roquette.

Prior Experience

Before joining DLA Piper, John was an associate at another international law firm, where he advised private equity sponsors, strategic investors, and portfolio companies on a broad range of M&A transactions.

He represented clients across in a variety of energy and infrastructure-related matters, including transactions involving acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures involving wind, solar, BESS, carbon capture, renewable diesel, nuclear, LNG, midstream, waste disposal, recycling and conventional power generation assets.

In addition to his M&A work, John counseled clients on a variety of commercial matters, including the drafting and negotiation of offtake, power purchase agreements and other commercial agreements.
