DLA Piper advises team.blue on the acquisition of Webempresa and SimplyBook.me

DLA Piper has advised team.blue on two strategic acquisitions. In order to expand its core product offering in Spain, team.blue acquired Webempresa, which is leading in the hosting and provision of domain solutions in Spanish speaking markets, providing services to more than 67,000 customers. With this acquisition, team.blue intends to strengthen its presence in the Spanish market and support its growth strategy across Europe.

DLA Piper further advised team.blue on the acquisition of SimplyBook.me, a Cyprus-based online booking and management system provider. SimplyBook.me was founded in 2011 and is considered a major player globally, with a strong focus on Europe and other English-speaking markets. SimplyBook.me's customer-focused, multi-language technology works for service-based businesses of any size and industry.

team.blue is a leading digital enabler for businesses and entrepreneurs. The company is made up of more than 40 brands which serve more than 2.5 million customers. team.blue is a one-stop partner for web hosting, domains, e-commerce, online compliance, lead generation and application solutions with the aim to shape technology and provide customers with innovative online products and services.

DLA Piper has advised team.blue on a series of acquisitions across Europe in the past. For the acquisition of Webempresa, the Corporate/M&A team from DLA Piper in Madrid was led by partner Enrique Chamorro and included legal director Almudena Comin and associate Laura Santos. In Germany, Corporate/M&A partner Dr Nils Krause and senior associate Dan Li from Hamburg advised on the matter.

For the acquisition of SimplyBook.me, Corporate/M&A partner Dr Nils Krause and senior associate Dan Li were also involved in cooperation with local law firm Clerides, Anastassiou, Neophytou LLC led by partner Effie Anastassiou.
