DLA Piper advises Russian SaaS platform Taxiaggregator on its sale to Qiwi

DLA Piper has advised Taxiaggregator, a Russian software-as-a-service platform that provides payment solutions and data analytics tool for taxi companies and taxi drivers, on its sale to Qiwi, a provider of payment and financial services in Russia and other CIS countries.

The transaction falls within Qiwi’s strategy to further develop its value proposition in the payment segment for self-employed persons and to create a full-cycle taxi ecosystem.

DLA Piper advised Taxiaggregator and its founder on every stage of the deal. The firm’s Moscow-based Corporate team was led by partner and Global Co-Chair of Emerging Growth and Venture Capital Leo Batalov, assisted by legal director Andrei Sheetkin, associate Maria Sarycheva and paralegal Alexandra Khvorostyanova. St Petersburg-based Intellectual Property and Technology legal director Roman Golovatsky and associate Igor Matveyev also advised on the transaction.
