Steffen Kaufmann elected to DLA Piper International Board

Steffen Kaufmann, a partner based in the Moscow office, has been elected to the International Board of DLA Piper, the senior governance body of DLA Piper International LLP. His term of office began on 1 January 2022 and will end on 31 December 2024, with the possibility of re-election.

The International Board’s role is to support the long term success and sustainability of the firm, exercising strategic oversight and decision making which takes into account the interests of its people, clients and wider communities.

Steffen is a German and English qualified lawyer focussing on cross-border M&A, real estate, construction and compliance matters. Educated in Germany, South Africa and the UK, Steffen has been working in the global legal services market for over 20 years. He joined DLA Piper in 2012 and is recognised by the leading legal directories, Chambers and Legal 500.

Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Darwin, Global Co-Chair of DLA Piper and senior partner of DLA Piper International, said: “Steffen brings to the Board a diverse background of international experience which will provide both a broad and balanced view of the firm as well as make an invaluable contribution to the delivery of our ambitious strategy for the future.
